Default shaking steering wheel

i was just wondering if anyone could help me find the cause of my shaking steering wheel (starts around 65-75, stops when i hit about 90). The rims are brand new and balanced, it was just aligned yesterday, and both axles should be good. one was jsut replaced but other has recent rip in cv boot. any ideas?

oh yeah, i have 5 zigen rims and i dont have those cetric rings or whatever, do i need them?

sounds like u may need the hub rings. swap on some stock wheels. if they dont vibrate, u probably need the rings

it shakes with the stock wheels to, jut not at much, i have to go alittle faster with those before it shakes. i have only has the wheels about a month and a half. when ever i hit bumps and stuff it shakes the steering wheel too. could something be loose in the sterring or something. i have no power sterring.

My sisters car shook at certain speeds. At low speeds, it was ok. Around 40 or so, it would shake. And freeway speeds it would stop. We found out her wheel was bent from hitting a curb.

white_n_slow: Does your screen name have to do with your car or you :chuckles:

no, its been like this. but the alignment didnt seem to do anything. it still shakes just as bad. My alignment was pretty ****ed too, i killed my two front tires in a month and a half. you cant even feel the tread on the inside anymore.
