Default where to rent spring compressor

hey everyone, me and my friend (ferio man) are installing our suspension this weekend. im just wondering of where the best place to go to rent a spring compressor is???? or is it really neccessary? i know you can just shoot the springs off but is that too much of a pain in the ass , and is renting the compressor worth the easier work? thanx for your help. peace.

39.99 plus sales tax and you'll get every penny back when you return it

wiht that kind of offer, i wonder why people say getting a spring compressor is a waste of time

It's actaully more work to use the compressor but it's safer. This guy I know chipped his tooth doing that. h:

I use the ghetto method if I'm lowering a car. If I'm putting stock springs on though, you have to have the compressor.

I'm not going to suggest using the ghetto method though. Don't want to start a flame fest.

the way i do it is wrap it with a towel around the strut and around the top only exposing the nut. haha exposing the nut...lol

way easier than using a spring compressor.

time per strut with hand tools and towel about 1-4 minutes

time per strut with hand tools and spring compressor about 15-25 minutes.

on top of that, do yourself a favor and get a spring compressor. It can be quite dangerous without one.

and this is my 900's post, since the counters were reset last.
