What to do with my $!
I just bought some new wheels, and I am getting a very good job over the summer. This job requires me to drive my car all over hell, which is a good thing cause I can get rid of my d series engine. I need a new motor. I had an h22a but I got scared from all of the scary stories so I just sold it. I really want an easy drop in, I am not sure what to do. I would love to get a turbo (BOV's make my heart skip a beat). I am either now thinking of a b16 or even a b18b and turbo which ever one I choose. I know that the b18b is a damn king when it comes to being bullet proof for boost. I want to stay away from a LS vtec cause I will have to take it to college and also drive it for work. So reliability is a must. What do you guys think? Also I did a search and came up with a little info but not what I wanted. You guys are great.

unless you really know what you're doing, turbo may not be the most reliable setup, since you'll be at college and driving for work, you won't have much 'tuning' time, and places to do any work you need to do. just a consideration, before you get in over your head with some problems. that is all assuming, however, that you don't get a flawless engine/turbo setup.
and what is your goal with the car? since it has to be reliable, maybe just a swap will do. it'll add that extra fun to your daily driving and you won't have to worry about reliability. gsr (b18c1) swap sounds nice if you have the cash! you could always turbo that down the road sometime.
hope this helps a little, good luck to you.

**** a B18C, do we to get into why the B16A is better? I say go with the b18B turbo. I know guys running 12's on stock internals with a decent turbo set-up. The B18C will give you more power initially but a B18B would put you that much closer to a turbo kit. Hell, is'nt there a guy on here with a B18B1 witha JRSC? I think his car is pretty quick and has good daily drivability. Trust me, turbos are not the best for stop and go traffic every day. I would hate to have to drive my coupe everyday in traffic.
