RIP Sols
as i read through many of these posts i notice that there are a lot of R.I.P del sols. this strikes me as fairly odd, since i myself had a RIP sol. it seems with the "limited" time/numbers this car was manufactured that the chances of colliding or being collided into would be slightly less than say, a civic or accord. i was wondering why??? is it that the car attracts young, inexperienced drivers? (i fell into this category at the time) or is it just dumbshmucks that want to run into the car? anyway, what i want to know is how did most of the RIP sols die? i made the most illegal left hand turn ever and ended up tango-ing with a coca-cola van. he won. i lost. not to fret, i bought another del sol...i was miserable without it. and the funny thing, this one's been crashed into as well! that wasn't my fault though. *whew* is the del sol cursed or is it just me?
I thought my 92 and 93 Civic sedans were cursed. I got into so many accidents in those cars that weren't my fault (mind you, I've had some that were). It's funny cause this Coca Cola van backed into my side door while I was laying on my horn. The guy said, "Oh, I didn't even hear your horn until after I hit you." What a dumb-ass. Maybe it's a conspiracy and Coke is trying to rid the streets of all the Honda's!!!
That did get rid of a small dent that was on my door though. After I got my Sol, I got rearended once by a drunk driver. The really funny thing is, my back bumper was faded really badly and needed to be repainted. I didn't have the money, so I was trying to clear cote it myself. I guess he took care of that one for me. After that, I haven't had any accidents at all. (knock on wood) Maybe it's the car God's way of saying, "Your car looks like crap...WHAMO!!! Oh, you've got a small dent? I'll take care of that for you...KABBAMM!!! Need new paint? No PROBLEM... BAMMM!!!"

Mine was cursed... It's been totaled before, and I bought it with a salvage title. After i found out the frame was bent, I started parting it out, and I'm going to be racing a bare chassis.

mine isn't rip but it has been backed into twice. i think they have a huge magnet installed in the frames causing others to inexplicably smash into our sols
