Default Civic Si question

Hello, I am looking into buying an 00 SI and I have a large question

I owned a previous 99 civic lx automatic. When I was driving on the highways and I would come across some hills, sometimes the car was unable to accelerate when going uphill at a speed around 65, I assume this is due to the lack of power in this car.

Does the Si have this problem?

Oh and one last thing, what is the stock performance of an 00 Si, like quarter mile times and 0-60mph. Thanks in advance for all the help

the problem with the hills was probably because of the automatic. i have an automatic, and if the hill is really steep, i just downshift to d3 or 2nd.

an si is way better than an ex. 160hp compared to 127.

base perf. for an si.

0-60 : 7.9
quarter mile : 15.7

ok... i guess u can always check to find that the si does have more power than the ex. but oh well... answer is yes. get a manual it'll be faster than the automatic.

1/4 mile looks about right, but there would be no way to attain that with that 0-60...

Hills are no problem....

99-00 SIs lack Tq... Uphill climb can be difficult in high gears and absolutely requires downshifts...

WHAT ABOUT 0-60, I believe the quarter mile time. Is the acceleration right till sixty? Oh and with an average driver is a 15.7 attainable in Kansas?
