Default turbo tuning question

I've got:

98 civic dx d16
t3/t4 garrett, intercooled, vortech FMU, walbro 255 HP fuel pump, integra injectors, timing 16 deg. I'm also using the cheap check valves (3 of them) b/c I don't want to spend the money on a missing link if I don't have to. stock ignition also (getting msd ignition next month)

ok I get to 5 psi by 3000 rpms and it holds steady 5 psi, I'm running a lil rich and then I get to 4500 rpms and my car feels like it just dies. It doesn't shut off; it doesn't make any weird sounds, it like when you hit the rev limiter. The car just stops accelerating.

Is the map sensor reading boost?
am I detonating?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is the CEL coming on?It sounds like you're map sensor is reading boost.
If it isn't coming on then it's something else.

How's your plugs look? Does it feel like you just hit a wall? Sounds like your fmu makes you go full rich. Too much gas will foul your plugs and make those same symptoms. If your plugs are black, increase your boost or rering your fmu.

thanks for the input.

I ended up switching the civic stock plugs back in the fuel rail and it cleared everything up.

it boosts all the way to the redline now, its awesome.

its crazy to watch the gauges also b/c the tach. climbs steady and slowly, but the speedo accelerates more quickly. its cool watching it gain so much speed w/ less rpm speed.

thanks again
