If its B16a1 it'll be harder to swap in than a b16a2. Also, if it's JDM, then it should only say B16

The wiring harness will be backwards and you'll need to buy the hydro to cable clutch conversion kit from Hasport -- like $400. I think it should still more or less just bolt in though.

How much?

You will also have to modify the distributor. Sport compact car did this swap a year or so ago, maybe I can find the mag. It's a pain IMO. The B16A SIR II is so much better IMO and you can get the mcomplete changeover for around $1,700.00 nowadays. How much are you paying? The biggest expensive will be the mounts and tranny converter from hasport. Just give them a call, they will tell you everything you need, they are really cool. I could'nt have completed my CRX without them and their website:thumbup:

Drivetrain mounting parts:

Hasport engine mounts $500 new
Rear engine bracket from teg or delslo from junkyard
OBD1 vtec distributor (teg or delslo)

Drivetrain connection:

G2 teg intermediate shaft and axles

Engine management parts:

OBD1 vtec ecu
hasport wiring kit 1200

Cooling:

Delslo vtec radiator hoses

Other crap:
shift linkages and shifter from teg
obd1 map sensor
teggy throttle cable
high impedance injectors

So you're looking at somewhere in the $1400 dollar range of additional parts, depending on what you can get from the junkyard, and for what price. Also, a number of compatible items might come along with your swap, so it all depends on whats included. Really, the 1st gen b16 swap is best suited to cr-x's and 4th gen civics. It can save you money, or it might not, depending on parts... but even so, at what cost in terms of hassle?

BTW that mag has a 900 hp 4wd carbonfiber golf. Very

JDM B16's are designated either B16A or B16B. Just no B16A# "B16A1...etc". At least for Second Gen's.

B16A1's aka B16 first generation are cable transmission. Your 94 uses a hydraulic.
