I'm changing out my brake pads within the next few days. I noticed in my factory service manual that youre supposed to spray this stuff on the back of the brake pads when you put them in.

So, what is Molykote M77, and what does it do? Is it necessary?

Anti-squeal stuff. The ones that I got came in ketchup packet looking things though... Not spray. It's about a buck for two packets.
