Default mechanic??

Is anyone here actually a mechanic? I know a lot of you have experience with cars and shiz, but does anyone actually have an education in mechanical engineering or anything like that? I'm just curious. :naughty:

I don't know about this board, but my uncle (Porsche mechanic) has a degree in electrical engineering from George Washington U... and my next door neighbor has a friend-of-the-family who was a mechanic for a long time with a masters in mechanical engineering.

I just started my schooling at Sequoia Institute this year in January. I'm going to become an auto mechanic. I finished Steering and Suspension and am almost done with Brakes.

I've spent plenty of time taking cars apart though... unfortunately, not quite as much time putting them back together.

ASE Certified mechanic (for 3 more months). Worked at 2 Honda dealerships for a total of 3 and a half years. Hated it, quit, and now I make 3x the money doing half as hard work (Central Office/Fiber Optics).

I have all of the automotive and light truck certifications (A1-A8) a few of the parts specialist tests and the advanced automotive engine specialist cert (L1). They where all rediculously easy. If you know your stuff, you will have no problem.
