i have 2000 si rims on my 94 civic and the tires are 205/50/15...what would be a safe drop but still look good...currently right now im looking at neuspeed springs at 1.8" both front and rear...is that too low or just right...thx

 

first of all i believe the neuspeed sports you are referring to are 1.75 front and 1.5 rear.. anyway, i think that would be a good drop. the rim/tire size doesnt really matter as long as you get the correct sizes. if you do it right, no matter what wheel/tire size you get, the total wheel/tire diameter will be the same as stock, so your speedometer will not read incorrectly. i have an eibach pro kit on my car, which drops about 1.3 (closer to 1.5). its a tight 2 finger gap all the way around. if i could make it out of my driveway with sportlines (1.8) but as you can see i'm extremely close to scraping as it is. HTH

 

That will be a good height. I lowered my car using gold ine and it will take you like 3 hours to finish it. Go fot it

 

That would be the perfect drop. Anywhere between 1.5 - 1.75 is good. IMO

 

ok..i know what i want now ....well the neuspeed website says 1.8 in the front and 1.6 in the rear...but its all good...thx for the input..now time to go hunt for some koni yellows

Most instances, if you have less than a 2" drop, a camber kit would most likely not be necessary. There are those rare cases where the guy installing your suspension just really fawks up your alignment and you might need the camber kit to correct it...

 

rule of thumb: anything apprx. 2" or more you will need a camber kit. with them being rated at 1.8, i bet they will settle to about 2". i'd say you will probably need one.

 

mines at about 1.6 or so, with stock struts and no camber kit

its about a finger and one half gap around with 16x7 wheels on 205/45 rubber.

el cheapo drop h: bought the springs used for $60 shipped.

but if you can find used springs, I'd recomend picking them up.
