You are actually supposed to pull the fuse for the fuel pump and start the car and run it out of gas when you replace the fuel filter. That's no fun though, you can't get as high while you are changing the filter. :loco:

I do this also but in a opposite manner.

I run the car and then pull the fuse.

try changing a fuel filter on a car that has a fuel pressure regulator

my buddy had one and well lets just say i got shot with a high stream of pressurized fuel.
