Sounds almost like a syncro is going out. Get that checked out one day, unless your H22 or GSR is coming in really soon.

I'd really recommend you put your stock shifter back in or swap in a gsr shifter for kix. DC sports makes crap for parts, and almost everyone I know with short shifters have said something just isn't right.

You could look into a C's short shifter (big recommendations from some folks), but I'd say swap in your stock shifter, and use your polyurethane bushings. That's what I run and I couldn't be any more satisfied.

i think ill jsut leave it in until the swap. but i will still want to buy a short shifter, i like the way they look and i like only having to move it alittle to shift. I have heard that B&M is good. any other suggestions?

i know i mentioned some problems, but overall i am very satisfied with the B&M. so is anyone i know that got it. unless i'm getting confused the Neuspeed shifter is supposd to be really good. gotta get bushings to get rid of the ratteling though.
