Default difference in proportioning valves???

okay ladies and gents, i know it's been covered a thousand times, but searching isn't doing me any favors...

i'm changing the brake booster/master cylinder/proportioning valve from a weaky DX 96' Civic to a beefy 96GSR.

i've heard a few things about the proportioning valve.....so what gives? do i absolutely have to buy an ITR one or can i use the ABS GSR one that i have? also, i realize that i have to reflare my brake lines which isn't a big deal, but what about actually bending the lines to reach over the other side?

thanks guys/gals!!!!

As I believe to the best of my knowledge...the GSR will bolt up. BUT, you need to reflare the lines b/c the GSR uses ABS.

The only time you need to bend the lines is when you are using an ITR MC/Booster.

This is to the best of my knowledge. Im not 100% sure though.

Where did you get the proportioning valve and how readily availible is it? Im looking for the 90-93 Integra or 92-95 proportioning valve for my setup.

If I'm not mistaken, look for a 40/40 prop valve. Funny that you should say that reflaring the brake lines isn't a big deal since that's what scares most people. There are actually tools for bending lines but I don't know where to get them. I'm sure there are places online though. Good luck.

any integra prop valve '90+ will work. You'll need to bend one of the lines that goes into the MC tho. If you look at them, you'll notice both lines come out the same side on the civic one, and opposite sides on the teggy one.

I have a 6 gen too and i have installed a rear disk conversion on.
I have to change the Master Cylinder and Proportioning Valve now.

But not all PV seems to fit on this car...
here a link to a pict showing the PV model on my car...
http://www.hazone.com/images/reardisc/prd021.jpg

and now a link to show the PV found on Teg 94+

http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/brakepics/img12.jpg

the desing is very different and i don't know how i can insert my break line in this model of PV...

Can you tell me on wich application i can found a PV who fit on my car please or how i can modify my line to fit on this model ?

That second pic is from hybrid-perf.org. Theyre not saying that only one line will fit in... just that only one of the bolts that holds it to the firewall will fit--which doesn't really matter because there are a bunch of hard brake lines holding it in place. The 94+ teg one works fine.
