Default maintnance required light question...

I have a 2000 4dr lx, and when i bought the car about 2 months ago the maintnance light was green, and after today i noticed that it turned yellow. I didn't get a manual book when i bought the car, so i was wondering if you guys could tell me what it means, and what could be causing it. Thanks alot.

PS. How much to Honda manuals go around for?

It usually means it's time for an oil change. To reset it just push the tab next to it with your key.

No, not at all. The idea of it, is to reset it after each oil change. After 7200k miles or close to there it'll turn red. Red meaning hey it's time for another oil change. Most of us change our oil every 3k miles so the reminder is useless to us.

Well on my 96 Civic EX, I read in my manual that it turns red every 12K. Any yes, just push it in with your key. I use the red indicator so I know when to do some regular maintenence. I just did the usual oil/ filter, then all the belts including timing belt and water pump. All in all, it was $375 after taxes. Pretty good I thought.
