Default Head Unit Problems

2 Problems Here

First my keyless entry is acting up, and it's connected to the stock head unit, i have an aftermarket unit, but the stock one is still mounted behind for the keyless, now my keyless entry doesn't work and i need to be able to get back to it.

First - i can't seem to get the panel out to get to the area behind my head unit and i removed the two screws, but i can't get past that part

Second - i need to now how to reset the remote and headunit to synchronize up the keyless entry

thanx, sorry it's long and yes i looked in the haynes manual first

Most likely the old head unit is behind the cig lighter. It probably came unhooked from bouncing around in there. What year civic is it?

first, check the fuse for it. i dont remember if that one is in the car or under the hood. if not, make sure one of the wires in the split harness didnt come loose. third, there is a "reset" button on the front of the stock head unit between a couple of the buttons on it. i dont remeber how to reprogram, but just call your honda dealer and ask their service dept. explain the situation and they're probably gonna tell you how to reset/reprogram the circuit. could be a bump made your stock reciever think that you were trying to steal it, and now it doesnt function, and you have to enter the code for it.
