Default exhaust question...

hey guys, im new here and i got a question, i just got my engine swap to a b18c1 a few weeks ago and i want to buy a new exhaust from the header to the muffler... the question is, do i look for a hatchback exhaust model? wouldnt i have to modify the pipe so it'll reach the headers? would the bolt fit right in with the flange? thanks a lot

btw i got a 94 hatchback CX

the hatchback exhaust should fit, i think, and if it doesn't shouldn't need much work to make it fit

the piping and the muffler sound be the same no matter what trim it is, the only difference is probably a small piece that lines the exhaust up with the header (if the piping doesn't match up, i know that on my 6th gen all exhausts are the same even from the ex to si i can use the same exhaust), if you had any problems mounting it

Default What's up?

You need the exhaust off an Si (or any hatch that's not a CX). CX's have a close coupled cat and different exhaust flanges. After your GS-R exhaust manifold, you'll have the cat then the rest of the exhaust (the Si catback). You'll need an adaptor if your using a GS-R exhaust manifold and cat. Here's a pic of mine.

I just drove open header to a muffler shop and had them rig it up, cost about $35 or so. Seeya.
