My girlfriend has a 97 hb dx
today she had touble unlocking the driver's
side door. I finally got it open after playing with it for a while (twisting/turning the key). anybody else have this problem?

Yeah, I have the same problem in my del sol's passenger side door. I have no idea what the trouble is - just old locks? Maybe rain got in there and rusted something? for me, it helps if push up on the key as you turn, it goes every time for me that way. Otherwise it "sticks"...like there is some notch it's catching. If you figure out exactly what it is, let me know! But unless it gets worse, I wouldn't call a locksmith or anything.

 

You might want to shoot some graphite in the lock that is giving you the trouble. good luck

 

my 96 hatch does this,..all i do is,.i stick the key all the way,..then i pull it out just a tad,..like 1/16 out,..then i turn it

 

thanks for the advice. Its not that big of a problem, just a hassle some times, i'll play around with it.
