Default Planning on Swapping this summer... HELP?

Ive got a 93 Civic coupe EX. Im gonna do a swap this summer after i get all the money i need. I need help on deciding which motor to get and which will be the best buy for my money and perform the best. Ive come down to either B16a2, B18B, or b18C1? If i do the B18B, then ill turbo it right off the bat and then later down the road drop on a B16 head. BUT i really want to be able to keep up with my 2 friends that have a B16A2 and a GS-R. SO what should i do and how much do you think it'll cost and what will be the easiest swap? Thanks in advance.

To correctly build a D-Series to the equivalent of say a B-Series, you'll spend more money. Well at least in Nebraska you will. For example. I bought a B18B swaped it in and raced my buddy who bought the Greddy turbo kit. Needless to say, I kicked his SOHC's ass. He spent $1400, I spent $1500. With building a stock B-Series motor, you can always upgrade things later. It's also easier, in my mind to swap a stock motor, than it is to build the bottom end of a block. I just don't have the machining experience to put an engine block together.

B16a2: nice mediocre engine, good for higher rpms, heard of people making them scream to 10k rpm after balance, low displacement, high compression, my friends got one turboed@ 359 whp

b18b: more displacement, lower compression good for f/i, mate with a ls or GSR tranny and its hella quick

b18c1: high compression, high rpms, high top-end, lot more money

I would say as I always do go for the b18b with turbo. And I wouldn't go ls/vtec not reliable. You said you want to fo f/i right away and I'm pretty sure this setup will romp on your friends b16 and GSR swapped hatches.

JMO Peace.
