Is that for the 6th gen? Because 5th gen requires new upper transmission mount. The 6th gen bolts in just the same as a manual. The only thing you are probably paying for is the clutch master cylinder, pedal assembly and the hard lines.

Converting from Auto to Manual is not hard.. just more steps to your project. However if you find a similar deal for a Manual then of course that would be the economical route.

the reason i say it's not worth converting to manual is because of the upper tranny mount (stated above). as far as i know place racing is the one place that makes that mount for that conversion.

i find place racing to have the crapiest of crappy mounts.
if you are willing to do the conversion. drill out the spot welds to where the mount bolt to the frame, and buy a new piece from honda and weld that on.

i did the auto to manual conversion, and it's not worth the time. not hard but still not worth it

i am converting my civic to manual in two weeks with a b16 and we had already planned on drilling out the spot welds and welding a new bracket on. the bracket was only 35 and i know a guy who will weld for free.

i too have also heard how crappy those mounts from place racing are that is why we are going this route we are also saving like 120

out of curiousity why was the auto to manual not worth it Bumnah?
