why dont u just put the ls crank and rods in the gsr block? it will be basically the same as ls vtec cause u will already have the vtec head

and the reliability should be better or am i wrong?

ls+boost equals the ultimate set up.. ls motors love boost due to there low compression.. while the b18c1 isnt so boost friendly.. all this about ls/vtec not being reliable?? it counts on how u build the motor.. if u build it wrong the motor will go BOOOm in a short while.. if you build it correctly it will run like a champ... a properly built ls/vtec will make more hp then a b18c1.. o yeah btw ls can just be as fast as a gsr just gotta have 2 thing $$$ and a good tuner who knows his sh!t.... didnt u see the sport compact mag with a 11 sec daily driven hatch powered by a b18b1 with boost??

so, while obviously the ls isn't going to be as fast as the b18c, for the price its worthwile, and when the money comes later, there's options for ls/vtec or boost. you see, i want to swap out my d16, and if i get the ls within the next few months, i will obviously have an improvement, and from there can go to vtec or run a boost. thanks guys, i think that is what i'm going to do.

The B18A/B crank and rods will not directly swap into a B18C block.

You are like most people ... magazine racer who believes everything he reads. Who said that a GSR isn't boost friendly? Ask anyone whose opinion matters a damn and they'd choose a GSR over a LS anyday. You contradict yourself. You said that the GSR isn't boost friendly then you state that, "if you build it correctly it will run like a champ" and "a good tuner who knows his sh!t." Wow, if only that GSR owner had the same opportunity to use the services of that tuner.

Then why do people choose a LS? It's cheaper to begin with and it does have lower compression. I bet you didn't know that lower compression means less power per stroke. At 'X' psi, the GSR will out accelerate the LS.

No $hit a LS can be as fast as a GSR if you got money, but since when were we talking about a built LS versus a stock GSR? In that case, a built D16Y8 will take a GSR.

Ls Turbo = Ultimate setup? haha, I don't think so. It's a good setup but not the ultimate.

Quit reading so much ClubSI crap
