well it depends, are you having probs with your temperature? sometimes what will actually happen is the thermostat will get stuck open causing your car to run too cold which isnt good.....

i am just wondering, the hoses that connects the top of the radiator is usually hot, rite? and the one that connects in the bottom is usually cold rite?

so the coolant flows from bottom of the radiator to the engine then out to the top of the radiator, right?

thx

its usually the other way around. some friends i know, take their thermostat out for good, end results, longer for car to warm up to normal operatin temp, with VTEC motors, it will take awhile before it can activate it, and takes longer for the heater to work.

sometimes a old thermostat will stay close causin ur it not to blow coolant to ur engine, thus ur car will overheat, unless u blast ur heater on full hot.

late

A cold running engine will probably idle at higher rpms and consume more gasoline. And in cold weather the heater will not be as efficient.
