what do you mean you can't? are you just not capable of doing it, or too lazy? Cause the money you save is well worth learning to do it!

dood, u hang out here alot to have learn alot of stuff.
its very basic and fun when u do it on ur own.

all it is, is stuff like:
cap and rotor
wires
spark plugs
fuel filter
all fluids(washer, brake, clutch, tranny, and coolant)
inspect tire wear, rotate if needed
check suspension components
alignment if needed
valve adjustment(very easy on d-series)
change oil and filter
check wear and tear on all hoses, lubricant if needed or replace
check cat and o2 sensor
check a/c components
check cv half shafts
check brake pads and rotors

besides half of the stuff i named, the place wont even touch, they will just look at it, clean it and just say that its fine. thats how shady shops gotten to be. break out the dirty clothes and a manuel and start goin to work. got questions, come bakk and ask.

those both r fairly easy if u are some what mechanically incline, and havin a manual helps. i didnt need it, it was all bit to easy since engine swaps is the hardest of all engine stuff that i have done. save some money dood, and ask us out for help.

$350 is very reasonable, almost suspicious.

$500 is about the lowest quote I could get. Makes me wonder if they are really doing everything promised. Even for T-belt, and water pump only that's a deal on labor.

From what I hear, they don't always replace the pump when they do the timing belt. The reason the other place is so cheap is because they are not using genuine honda parts. The pump is a rebuilt one most likely and the T-belt is what ever the local parts store carries. I would do a honda, they are trained to do it correctly the first time and you know it's done right and the parts are going to last.
