H22 turbo in the front... H22 turbo in the back. ....tune accordingly(i.e. 200 shot each)

or you could do the same with the accord v6s, or TL-Ss, or NSXs etc... Basically as long as it has two oversized turbocharged engines, you'll be money.

Take the 260hp 3.2 cl type s engine throw that in hatchback civic, it will be the only civic with more that 160lbs of torque n/a... 260hp 232lbs of torque sounds like a plan, add the comptech supercharger and headers... thats sexy

I know i have already posted but i came up with another idea. What about throwning a couple of honda motorcycle engines in there? That would sound pretty damn sweet and imagine the redline on that thing. well its just an idea

Ronin-
The first Honda car officially imported to the United States was the 1969 (Hawaii) or 1970 (Continental US) AZ600 and AN600, a pre-Civic hatchback and wagon if you will. They were both powered by a 600cc V-twin Honda motorcycle engine. I think the stock quarter mile time was around 22.25 seconds:chuckles: That was an extremely light car, too.

I have to admit though, putting a new motorcycle engine (or two) in a 5G frame would be interesting... to see if you could make the civic body break the AZ600's quarter mile record

If rotary engines are out of the question... damn.

Think this.....

All you guys are saying drop in a 3.2 CL, NSX, Rotary, etc etc. None of those fit under the hood of a Civic. The car will end up looking like the V8 forced fed CRX RWD. It just looks out of place. Sure it's nice...but it wont look right. And even if the other idea of converting a RWD or AWD Civic, will it work?...I've seen these conversions done...but all they do is sit in showrooms and used only for show...none of them really last or are even fast.

Twin turbo the biggest Honda engine that fits under the hood...stick the biggest turbo or turbo(s)...find a good driver and have that thing run the track and shows....and u got urself a crowd pleaser.

Actually, I think a 13B would fit easily under the hood with a little firewall banging. RE's are pretty damn small... a large watermelon if you will, at least compaired to the massive chunk of metal that is under the hood of my father's 3.2 CL. The only problem is that there were never any FWD rotary equipped cars, thus making a RWD conversion almost a requirement. A 13BT engine can be stripped of the turbo and carb'd for ease of transplant and higher availibility or parts over the older 13B 4 port engines. Better yet, use a Haltech E6K fuel injection system and a nice big single turbo...

But any Rotary was already rejected from this project... but I'll keep fighting for it anyway!
