Also, if you think it's a bad bulb, take the bulb from the other side out and put it in the side that's not working... you know that the other side bulb works so if it works in the bad side, you have a bad bulb.

Yeah, but it's not good to shake a bulb that is good, you risk breaking the filament yourself.
