Problems I see with the Skunk2's are specialized ball joints and a seeming inability to totally prevent slipping (for some people).

Those are probably for Macphearson strut suspensions. Correct me if I'm wrong...

no. pillowball mounts are for movement at the uppermount. Insted of a rubber bushing, you have a metabl billowball contraption that allows the shock to move a little.

easy as pie to install did mine today.

if you are def. chosing skunk2 or ingalls.

go skunk2 my friend ingalls kit slipped all the time. i'm not sure how great the skunk2 one is, put personally i've never seen one slip or heard of one.
i'm just weary of sliding ball joints.

So even if you have a set of "full" coilovers with an upperpillowball mount, you still need a camber kit?

yes and no... depending upon how low u dropped the car. i had the tanabe sustec pro ss on my car.. and it's dropped 2 finger gap all around on a 14" steelie... that's about 2-3in drop from the factory height. after the alignment.. my car was fine... just the rear butterflys a bit.

yeah i know what you mean. however, there are some pros and cons of coilovers... pros... it's a matched setup, especially if u buying a brand name or a trusted brand. cons... if you save the money and got i.e. tien ss, you will find that ur GC & koni yellow will be stronger. in my case... i found that the setup i got the springs are a bit on the weaker side... thus i need to buy replace springs to make it stiffer. so i would say... if you do want to spend the dough... don't cut corners or try to find cheap deals... cuz u get what u paid for..
