Default couple of questions

I know that i am not very active here, but i do appreciate al the help you guys give out, well i need some advice...

1) i have an LS in my car, i found someone piecing out their gsr and he offered me the vtec head for $300, i heard that i could slap any b series vtec head on to my LS but the b16 head is żbetter? or does it matter??? i was waiting around for a b16 head should I?

2) also he offered the intake manifold for $50, would that be better than that of the LS?

...geezzzz i feel so dumb right now. i guess we have our days...or for me i guess i am just learnin.

The GSR head will actually produce more HP than the B16A head. Go with the GSR head and intake manifold. If you have the cash opt for the Skunk2 manifold. You can't just slap the VTEC head on the LS block. You have to plug up the oil lines in the head the tap a oil feed line in the block. You can buy the oil plumbing kits at like JDMhondaparts.com. You also have to make sure the GSR head comes w/ the distributor and VTEC solenoid or you'll have to get one. You'll also need a DOHC VTEC ECU or run the extra lines for VTEC and get a VTEC Controller like a Fields or an Apexi. A GSR tranny will also help you to reach the VTEC point a little faster and better.

If you really want the setup to work you need to have you crankshaft balanced, and get some better pistons such as Integra Type R, or aftermarket higher compression pistons. Plus new piston rings and bearing. But once your done you'll have a N/A tuned killer on your hands. All this would produce like 180hp to 210hp at the wheels.

The other thing to concider is that the GSR intake manifold is unique to the gsr. I don't think you can slap the Ls manifold on it. Same may be true for the exhaust manifold as well...

A COMPLETE GSR head and intake manifold for $350 is a good deal. Go ahead and snatch that up quick. If you can go through the head and make sure everything is sound or even upgrade the head internals. Just make sure you get the Distributor, VTEC soleniod, exhaust manifold, and if you can get the exhaust manifold. Make sure you take your time on LS/VTEC don't short change anything or the motor won't last long at all. Seriously try and get the Integra Type R piston w/ rings or high compression pistons and rings and BALANCE THAT CRANKSHAFT. If that is done right and the oil feed system is done securely, you'll have a GSR killer.

Just my $.02

where the fawk do you come up with this bullshiit...?!?!?

dont listen to this fawker.

you can get any b series head to fit your car, given its the right obd. you will also need to get a vtec oilpump, the LS pumps out about 8lbs of pressure, as the b16-b18c1 pumps out around 18lbs or pressure, so there is a BIG difference. im not oging to go into full details about this, you should do a search in the integra forum. also, the b16 head is BETTER than the C1 head, or dont you think they would of put the C1 head on the ITR instead of the b16 head.

Sorry I forgot to add the pumps but yeah you should get the VTEC oil pump and water pump. Also check out www.importreview.com they actually dynoed the GSR head and the B16 head and guess which head won on the dyno for the LS/VTEC???? Huh-Crucial-SiT?? You little bi#$h!! Check out your damn facts before you holla back at me about shit.

I actually help to build a couple LS/VTEC w/ a group of Honda Techs. I am building one personally as we speak, and I am a tech at Mahdavi Motorsports. So if you really wanna f#$k w/ me on how to build an LS/VTEC then try me!! OK you need to stop sideways hatin on every goddamn post I make. Shit just cuz your ass got money to get shit done don't mean you know your shit. People like you come in the shop everyday talking like they know shit but all they got is money for a REAL import fan like me to do it for them. Until then get the F#$k off my nuts, HO!!:fawk:

All B-series oil pumps have the same part # !! The oil pressure comes from spacingin the housing.!.! I had a LS?GSR vtec done by C&R Radiator. GSR heads have a smaller quench area in them
that does increase comp. over a b16 head, as far as intakes you need a skunk 2. It is a JDM Type R style intake that bolts onto the GSR head with no mods.
