Default Sounds systems

What kind of sound systems do you have in your guys civic's? I'm planning on going with a Emerson DVD player and a 7" monitor. Then I'm going to get 2 10 JL w3 subs. I have rockford fosgate 6.5" I believe in the front, not positive on the size and I have 6x9" in the rear that are by Boston Acoustic.

What kind of setups do you plan on doing or have? And do you guys like the idea of a indash dvd player what's your experience with them?

these are my kinda threads

I'm not a big fan of screens. I don't see a point, but thats just what I think.

yeah, fronts are 6.5"

I have a Pioneer DEH6400 HU running Kenwood dualmag 6.5's up front and Kenwood 3way 6x9's in the back. For bass, two Pioneer 12's in a bandpass box power by a sony explode amp.

plans are to get a nice Rockford Fosgate amp to power the subs, and move the sony amp to my mids and highs.

Some advice on subs, I've have tens, twelves, and fifteens. I would not recommend getting tens. Two twelves put out a lot more "Umph" for just a few bucks more. Tens also simply cant get as low...

:werd:

and on a similar note, 15's are loose as hell, but the bass output is nice.

my advice:
A) get two 12s
B) get a 12 and a 15
C) get two 12s and a 15

Alpine MP3 headunit, Infinity Kappa 6.5" components up front, kappa 3ways in the back, PPI art series amp, two JL10W3's in the JL high output red/grey carpet box.

I've had: three 10's, one 15, one 12, two 12's, and now two 10's.

My personal choice for best combination of accuracy and UMPH is two 10's, though the three 10's knocked harder than a MOFO

you cannot generalize a 10 sub to not go low and a 15 inch sub to play "sloppy"

If you got some money, you should get 1 JL10W7. Will hit just as hard and clear as 2 JL12W3's. My system was Panasonic 402HU, 6.5 and 6x9 Alpine Competition 3 ways, 1 15 JLW0 powered by Kenwood 1000watt 4ch. Until it got stolen that is. Working on getting it put back together.
