no codes unless your CEL is on. And with the plugs, some of them are the same. The map sensor, IACV/EACV, and tps all have the same plug. It's easy to get the tps and map mixed up, since they're so close, but I think you'd be throwing a code for that...

BTW, did you get any SES codes? They maybe helpful.
No there are 2 plugs right at the tb that are identical and can be swapped accidentally. This could very well be the problem...

IACV plug looks the same, as well, and will plug into the MAP sensor or TPS.

Why would that not throw a code if he accidently swapped the map and tps sensor?

It doesn't always throw a code when you mismatch plugs. It'll just run like crap and you won't be able to figure it out. Happens all the time.

yyyeah... so I did a quick check over plugs and such, and then jumped into pulling off the intake manifold. It would seem that somewhere between freezing my ass off, and being excited about almost being finished, I failed to... check... if... ya know... there was any of the old intake manifold gasket.... uh... left on the block. but the manifold was ship shape! To be fair, I was only 1 of 3 sets of eyes working on this beast, so it wasn't ENTIRELY my fault. But yeah, I'm retarded, it runs like a champ, and I'm going to go cry myself to sleep because I'm retarded. yeah. half of the gasket on the block. I should be shot.
