95 Civic No Start
Battery seems to be fine, all lights working.
The engine does not crank at all. I have a two way pager, so I tried to start with alarm an, and pager tells me the car is starting, so I guess the ignition switch is working.
Disabled alarm, still no start.
Took dizzy cap off, no moisture whatsoever, (its been raining here past few days.)
I checked the 7.5Amp Starter Signal fuse at the kick panel and it does not light up with a test light to it. I pulled the fuse, and replaced it w/another one, fuse is fine.
This leads me to believe that its the starter.
Now, I never had a single problem with start before. Do you guys think that a starter would just take a crap out of nowhere???
Anyways, i need to test the starter. Can anyone post a diagram or a pic of the terminals that I need to short. Or should I just jump the terminals to the battery?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Make sure your wires going to the starter are on there good and solid. I had an issue with mine being loose and I couldn't start my car and I went and replaced the starter only to find out ift was the wires. The one I had an issue with is the one you slide onto the copper tab if its not tight it can cause this problem. Move the wires around and push them all the way down and try starting the car. If it starts thats your problem. Hope this helps.
i had an alarm on my civic and it always worked fine until my alarm started acting up and wouldnt let me start my car. it wouldnt crank at all. I disconnected the alarm and my car would start up fine every time....
Thanks for the replys guys.
I got another problem.
I installed a new starter. The car started right up. However when I started it up it made a loud nasty sound and I felt it in the clutch pedal. The sound is similar to that of when the car is running and you turn the key to crank it and it makes that nasty sound.
I shut it off, and started it again, same sound just as I crank it.
What can this be? I specified that the car is manual, I installed it correct.
Thanks for the help.

Did you get the correct starter for your car? There is the possibility that your flywheel is bent or that the starter isn't sitting flat where it should. The noise is your flywheel and starter gear hitting. Make sure you tightened down the bolts all the way and make sure its sitting flat against the bell housing. If all that is fine hen maybe you got a bad starter but I doubt it.
