but if your unexperienced, it's gonna take you 4 hours plus...maybe quite a bit more...if you have that kind of time, go for it. If not...then :dunno:

Actually, I could do this.. I just bought new axles yesterday from NAPA (well, I got the passenger's cause the driver's isn't in yet...)

I have to replace them anyway sometime this week and I do have a digital camera so I could do a how-to... what do you guys think?

what are "proper tools" u need special tools? it takes forever unles syou've done them a lot before.. I just paid the guy at the local mobil statoin who hooked me up for $95 each side....

i'm not sure how it is on a civic (i'm about to find out), but I've done it before on other cars, usually you just need your basic metric tool kit(sockets and wrenches plus extensions), a torque wrench, and a few extra super sized sockets to fit the driveshaft nut that holds that darned shaft to the hub. some miscellaneous parts might be nice, like two jack stands, a floor jack, few blocks of wood and wheel chocks.


oh yeah, the most important tool that will hinder you if it's not all there, your common sense.
