Q for all you that have HELMS
I order it a few days ago finally, but I was wondering if somebody could tell me if it has some kind list of tools needed to work on the civic.
I know you need all the sockets and wrenches, timing light, and whatever else, but is there a compiled list of all the different hand tools one would need in HELMS?
thanks guys

Aside from the basics, a complete set of metric sockets and deepwells, a set of combination wrenches are useful. A good torque wrench and set of vicegrips are also good.
A few specialty tools, get a flare wrench. Craftsman sells a good one with a 10 and 12mm ends. It looks like a box wrench but has an opening cut out. Great for things like brake lines and such.
If you ever plan to take your axle's out, say for a swap or at least a clutch, you'll need a 32mm socket. The axle nuts are 32 and torqued to 132 ft/lbs. Most 1/2" impact guns don't have the power to break them loose either. A good socket and a strong breaker bar you can take back when it bends usually does the trick. A 8' pole doesn't hurt.
If your pulling the clutch, you'll also need a set of 12-point sockets. The flywheel is held to the crank with them and so is the pressure plate to the flywheel (12 point bolts).
That's all I can think of for now. Air tools are helpful but not nessicary for most jobs. Seeya.

Dude, thankyou SO MUCH!
Thanks guys. What ImportRac3r said is really true. A 10mm, 12mm, 17mm and a 19mm for the lugs, and you have a pretty complete toolbox for your car.
Just a few more things. Honda uses pinch clams for hose clamps. It's usually worth it to replace those with your normal hose/worm clamps when you change the hoses. Just makes your life easier (those pinch clamps are a pain). Also, if you pull your rear suspension apart, specifically the 3 bolts on each side that go through your LCA, buy some anitseize and coat the shaft of those bolts before you put them back in. Those bolts have a tendency to rust in the bushing sleeves and will not release. Usually they have to be snapped and drilled out. Seeya.
