Default cat back exhaust for a 92 vx

The stock exhaust system is all rusted out in my friend's 92 civic vx. Was wondering if anyone had any luck with replacement exhausts other than oem. He isn't looking to make a hot rod vx anyway, just thought money might be better spent on something of better quality.

If he's not looking for anything special, just tell him to go to the neighborhood muffler shop. When I still had my 92 Integra, I a noname brand axle-back exhaust from Olympic auto parts, a lifetime warrenty peice. By the time I totaled the car, I was on the third one, but the replacements were free so I had no complaints... $130 for a lifetime supply of axle-backs.

hmm you can tell your friend to get a N1 universal style muffer and go to a muffler shop and get custom cat back piping that should cost him around 200 bucks

or just find another stock one... I found a deal to get it for 50, and a local wrecking yard had one for 100 after my first deal went bad
