I would just come home with the car already lowered. And say I don't have the stock springs I had to give them the old springs for a core charge. Can't do anything after it is already done. Uless they want to spend some $$$ to put it back.

from my understanding, his parents are ruthless and will pull the car from under him to sell it...
I wouldn't tell them ANYTHING...play it stupid and just get a mild drop. My parents were the same way in HS. I dropped it 1.75 inches and they never noticed a thing.
