I watched the dealer slip mine right out , he did remove the valve cover first. Just replace them anyway, they're cheap

The only way that I know is to take off the valve cover... otherwise, how else would you even try to put on new ones?

You mean those things that keep the oil from spilling into the spark plug chamber?

you have to take the valve cover off. The reason those are there is to seal the valve cover holes for the spark plugs to the head. If they were loose, they would leak. Spend the minute to remove the 10mm acorn nuts and take your valve cover off. They come right out....

Default What's up?

Buy a new set of 4 from Honda, I think they're less than a $10 for all 4. Funny thing is the come packed in a little plastic wrapper and they're hooked together. It looks like a 4 pack of rubbers with Honda's logo all over them. I though it was funny. I meant to take a picture but I forgot.

Oh yeah, if they won't just come off with your finger, a little screwdriver will pry them right out. Seeya.

I know that this is an EXTREMELY OLD thread, but just trying to confirm something here.

The part in question here (the 'spark plug gasket') is number 7 on the diagram, correct?

Again, sorry for the really old thread, but I'm trying to do a little maintenance on my car and was doing searches on stuff that has been a little problematic on my car and I'm slowly fixing bit by bit.

Yes, a lot of people call it a tube seal.
