Default Ever seen/used a rotor like this?

I was curious if anyone here has used a dizzy rotor like the one I just purchased.
It looks different from the old one I'm replacing which to my knowledge is oem or oem style.

The one that was(and still is) in there had sort of a fiber material on the sides of the top part () whereas this one not only has no fiber but exposed metal on the sides (highlighted area in pic) and it's a different material as the oem style is silver.

Also, this new one I got has teeth, or grooves in the top part instead of the smooth finish on the oem one.

It's a GP Sorensen, the only one they had in stock for my car at the place I went.
I didn't realize it looked noticeably different until I got it home, I've never seen a rotor that looks like this so I'm curious what your opinions are.

I'd probably just take it back but from what I hear that place is difficult about returns, etc. unless you want to replace it with the exact same thing.

The 1st pic is of the one I just got.
The 2nd is the highlighted area of concern that is both diff. color, no "sides" and has teeth (hard to see)
The 3rd is a pic I found online that looks very similar to the one that is currently on the distributor.

I've used both types with no differences.

Default Thanks

Thank you guys very much for your replys

I know I was just being paranoid but I can be that way sometimes.

I had already decided I would put it in whenever I get around to it but it helps put me at ease to know you wouldn't be concerned yourselves.

Thanks again.
