Ok, now I'm confused again. I have a short ram on my car and want to go with a CAI. All you guys have CAI's and are wanting to go with short rams. I know water is a problem with the CAI's, but short rams suck hot air into the engine.

DAYUM.....what sould I do???

Wow, the filter got wet.

I ran my cold air for 2 years: rain + snow, blizzards and $hit

You guys are scared of water? Try injecting it into the intake pipe like I did.

well, for me... even though i have CAI, but just for the peace of mind... i made mine into short ram. it's been flooding alot lately, and perhaps it won't hydrolock... but just don't want to take the chance. that doesn't mean i threw away my other half of the pipe. i will be keeping it and when weather clears up, i will reconnect it again into a CAI.

dood, how you drive your car is up to you. perhaps you're rich... but for most of us, we would like to protect our investment. i know small amount of water won't hurt the engine... but in my case where around my neighborhood is flooded in the street... 1 ft deep... making it into short ram is a pretty smart idea to me.

I wish I was rich ... I work two jobs to pay for my addiction. I am very passionate in what I do. When it rains that much, I'd rather just not drive my car. It does help that I my family has 5 cars and then my girlfriend also has one.

I don't quite remember, but I think I took off the bumper, then just looked around and took off all the bolts that held the resonator and then started pulling

Basically remove everything that's under the airbox.

I drove through SO many huge puddles over the weekend, so I'm very glad I have a stock box. A CAI would have been scary.
