Default WTF...bastard sent me the wrong clutch!

So i finally dropped off my car @ the tranny shop to get my "Clutchmasters stage 3" clutch put in my civic and i get a call about 2 hours later. The guy at the shop is like...this isn't the right clutch it's too big, so i drive up there and sure enough the whole pressure plate/disc is too big and the disc doesn't fit onto the input shaft. So now i'm out 200 for labor, my car is stuck there cause my stock disc is toast and when i get another stock disc tomorrow i still won't have a better clutch...WTF

if any of you see Christopher Alincastre beat the living **** out of him....and tell him to give me my money back. :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk:

btw the owner of the tranny shop said that the stock clutch should easily hold 150 whp and it only slips when it heats up because the disc is glazed over....so i'm wondering, should i just an ACT disc and be done with it?

no no...everything is too big. The center hole for the disc to slide over the input shaft is too big so the whole thing wobbles when it spins. The pressure plate doesn't have the correct bolt pattern either and is too big. I can't even tell if it's for a B series or anything cause the stupid bastard won't reply to me on AIM

Sounds like your tranny guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. Clutches hold torque, not hp. Disc's can't heat up unless they're slipping. And the disc might hold that torque, but the OE pressure plate sucks ass. Just call ACT and have them overnight you a pressure plate and throw in the stock disc.

i might as well just get a HDSS kit if i was gonna do that, i can get one for around 300 bucks. Damnit...i don't wanna spend 150 on the mystery clutch+300ish on an ACT+200 on install....that is rape on a clutch job

oh yeah...the tranny shop said the clutch i have has more bolts than a D series and the whole thing is wider? Any ideas if this is a B series clutch so i can try and sell it? I think he said the mystery clutch has 9 bolts whereas the D series only has like 6?
