Default intro...

new here and thought id post a pic. i just bought a 99 si. mainly for mpg and a little fun. i have had a few jap cars in the past but got away from them. had an 80 rx7, 89rx7 and 92 mr2. i bought the car already moded which i know most people think that takes away from it all but i really just didnt want another 'project'. had enuf of them in them in past i know know i saved a bunch of money getting one 'done' aleady. im sure there are little things ill do but for the most part i like it. i had no idea body kits were 'ricey' but i dont think this one is all that bad. as all the usuals...
msd comp, coil cap, wires. aem cam gears, belt, coi, short shift. dc header, act stage 2 clutch and flywheel, flowmaster dual exhaust...
dont really know what is left to put on...a chip?
anyway car has 83k miles on it and was running smooth as can be but now i think i have the high idle crap. cleaned the iacv and didnt help. going to have a guy look at it and if its not a small adjustment or somthing needing to be cleaned ill replace the iacv and go from there. looking forward to learning here as much has i have on past motorcycle forums.

i dont really see what so ugly about it... the front is kinda stock...ish and the rear really works with the 4 tips coming out. dont really like the side but they are alot lighter than stock and dont think it would look right with the rest of it. paid 6k for it. didnt think it was a bad price.

i dont like the over done body kits....but i just dont see the big deal about having a stock looking car.

wheels are too big, body kit looks like shit and dual exhaust on a civic is number one retarded thing on the planet. All that matters though is that you like it.

Yeah, that's a pretty decent price. For one, a riced out Si like that just screams STEAL ME!, it attracts unwanted attention from law enforcement, and (this is purely opinion) takes a car designed by skilled and qualified people to look good and takes a big steaming shit on the hood. If you like it that's all that matters... but hopefully we can mend your shameful ways h:

damn...and the exhaust was one thing i liked! why retarded? extra weight? same thing with larger wheels? notice that the ones that are not 'riced' are smaller.

yep, learned about the cops....first ticket was less then a week after haing it. being a firefighter i get out of shit sometimes, but not with a trooper. i never really did like the look of stock vehicles. didnt like the over the top either but i thought this one was in the middle for some reason...guess not. lol at least if it gets stolen i should make some money on it.

The reason the four-tip exhuast is retarted is because its non-functional. At first glace one would think you have a V12 in there, then a second later they realize that its 1.6 litre...That's the definition of rice.

About he wheels...they are too big, and it prolly feels like hell when driving over bumps.

The car dont look all too bad. The body kit and wheels really makes it look too gaudy. Not to say that I wouldnt drive it, but in the long run I would plan on getting rid of the body kit and get different wheels.

Its just sad that someone would do that to an SI...

edit: If those wheels were 16" they'd look good. i like the headlights.
