Dual exhaust on a car with only one bank of cylinders (or one header) serves no performance purpose, in fact it can hamper performance by adding turbulence. It's also useless dead weight.

Big wheels also serve no performance purpose unless you need them for big brakes... and pretty much any brake kit can fit under 16's, and most can fit under 15's. Anything larger than 16" is dead unsprung weight, bad for acceleration, braking, ride and handling.

The way I think of it is; You mod the appearance of your car to set it apart from all the others...:shifty:make it special if you will...

The fact is that there are probably more modded civics than there are stock ones around, especially from that generation and the previous one. By putting a body kit with and non-functional crap such as quadrupple exhaust tips and oversized wheels, you toss the car into the cesspool of riced out civics, which by the way, gives us all a bad rep.

To add to that, the guy debadged an SI, which is a rarity in itself, and deserves to be kept in stock form.

well i actually thought about puting a reg civic front on it and leaving it dbaged. also looks like a quick fix to chop the exhaust and close off the 'dual'.
btw...i used to HATE these cars and called them 'toot toot' cars. and look at me now...
