Default Engine Won't Start

I realized that the gas pump relay was not working after trying to start my car... It cranked a couple of times but then stopped completely... The battery level is good and has not lost any power... i tried starting it up at night and heard the gas pump relay working fine and the battery level was very good. There was no crank and if i held the ignition at start, the gas pump could be heard.

Can the starter be the issue? What can it be?

For a new one you should expect around $50 if I'm not mistaken. That's for the oem replacement. Dealership will have them of course, or can get one. Ebay may have used, fixed ones, as well as new. Otherwise I know both www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
and http://www.partsgeek.com(A+ shipping) carry them.

Otherwise you could just re-flow or, preferably, replace the solder on the old one. Normally it's just the solder joints that are bad.
I re-flowed mine, same exact relay. Not hard but take your time and best to wait just a bit after you've flowed one joint if you need to go at it again. If you get it too hot it can burst, spraying a small amount of solder in your face.

Good idea to wear glasses.

at first i didn't hear my gas pump when i turned the ignition key, but when i tapped the relay i then could hear the gas pump... I think i damaged the starter when the engine was cranking only. I went back and tapped it realy lightly and boom it started......

I might just go with a new relay and look online for a deal....

Thanks for the advised....
