Ok, I'm installing my springs and shocks this friday.... FINALLY

dis is what is going in...

Eibach prokit
KYB AGX shocks

so far this is the list of tools that I need...

wd-40

14mm-17mm sockets and open wrenches

5mm hex socket

Spring compressor

rubber malot

and some jack stands.


Do I also need some grease to relub bushings or will they be fine. I don't want a squeeky ride.


How far off will my camber be with these springs? Should I just go ahead and do the 'washer' fix for the rear while i'm under there and but in two washers?

Anyother tools that will come in handy or tips?

help me out... i'm popping my 'suspension install' cherry this FRiday and can use all the help I can get.

 

What's the WD40 for?

How many miles on your car? If it's alot,, then it doesn't hurt to relube the bushings.

The camber will depend on the current alignment/toe in-out. But usually for the pro kit, front camber is minimal. Go ahead and use 2 washers for the rear.

 

should be cake with the tools u have. i never had used a spring compressor, ghetto fab way and it works. i can do all 4 corners by myself in an hour. take it easy and just remember left to loose and right to tight.

A breaker bar (pipe) is useful if your car is old and the bolts are hard to loosen.

Also, you probably already know this but just in case, never get under a car that isn't supported by at least two jack stands and the jack. I've had jacks and jack stands tip over before.

I think the camber will be fine since the prokits only drop about 1".

I remember using a vise grip somewhere in the installation of my springs, but I don't recall where. Doesn't hurt to keep one handy.
