Default Short Shifter

Well, today i was driven around in a GSR, (those are so great) and it had a few mods done to it. It has some engine work, racing pedals, and a short shifter. Since X-mas is comming, i thought that i could put that on my list (fyi, i am 16, i cant help it ). For you people with short shifters, what do you have, or had, Reviews would be great. I know there is a thread in the basement about Shift knobs, so if u wanna say anything about those too, knock ur self out. Thanks han people:thumbup:

I have one I got for X-mas. Dunno what brand. But its red
Get the bushings with it. That way you can put both of them in at the same time.
I have a CTR replica knob. Looks ok, but my hand slips off once in a while when I go to the tracks. VERY BAD TO MIS-SHIFT. Killed my tranny that way.

I have a DC Sport shifter. No complaints either. No matter what brand you get, spend a few more dollars and get the bushings at the same time.

dont think its hard for a generic brand to create an exact duplicate of some expensive short-shifter, like a neuspeed or whatever.. but yeah, when you get a shift get shifter bushings, i got my generic shifter and neuspeed bushings for $60 bucks.

i used to have a gsr short shifter in my koop, now in my hatch im runnin a STOCK gsr shifter and it feels great and the throws are a bit shorter then my stock del sol shifter. i would never consider goin bakk to a ss either cuz its just a plain sometimes due to the rattling and the more effort needed to get a gear in even with my neuspeed bushings. i suggest gettin a stock gsr shifter, it has dual bends lean the shifter closer to the driver. a civic is a straight piece. if u must have one, B&M, dc sports, neuspeed, and skunk2 are a few good choices.

Different car but I'm using the OBX one and it's good, no complaints and the best part is they're super cheap. The only complaint I have is the general ruggedness of shortshifters so I'm just gonna buy a bushing kit to dampen that issue.
