Default Need Bat. Advice Quick...

when i drive my car vlmeter reads right around 14... so the alternator appears to be giving off the right amount of juice

when i drive teh car and shut it off and re sart it in 3 hours of less it is fine

when i drive the car and restart it in 3 to 6 hours its sketchy

when i leave teh car more than 6 hours it almost always won't start

this just started happenign wiht the cold weather

if i leave my lights on with car off it dies MUCH faster than normal

am i right in asuming its the batery???? i would GREATLY appreciate any help.. THANKS (btw bat. is as old as car 4-5 years old)

when you crank the car what does the vlmeter read? and 14 is damn good for a civic..mine reads that:thumbup:

Well, naturally :slap:.

Honestly, just pick up a new battery. Also, have you been having yours serviced? There are ones that need service and some that don't, so that could be the problem as well.

umm it was DEFINATELY the battery i had them check it and it was WAY off... the new battery ($50 at auto zone) works great.. car starts right up now.. it used to stutter a little.. so i guess problem solved..

My battery is trashed, so I know what you mean. It isn't that bad though, glad a new one worked out for ya'.
