Default Reseting ECU
How do I reset my ecu? it's a '98 Civic Sedan

You can either 1)pull the negative battery lead 2)pull the backup fuse in the underhood fusebox 3) disconnect the ECM at the plugs.

so just pull the negative batt. out?
how long do I leave it out for... any specific time interval before plugging it back?

Well whenever you do changes such as intake/exhaust, you should reset your ecu so it can adapt to it.

my mileage is horrible, probably around 350km's per tank
should be 4-500km's

I usually leave it disconnected for about 10 minutes. I don't know if it's necessary to leave it unplugged for a certain amount of time but I just do it to be safe.

Just disconnect the ECM plugs for 10 seconds. I usually do that, so it doesn't mess up my clock and stuff.

When you reset ur ecu once u plug it back up, start it up but DONT NOT TOUCH THE GAS, wait until the cooling fan comes one once then u can touch the gas. That period of time lets the ECU Adapt to the new edition u put on.

I must've messed up a lot of cars fuel maps. I let it idle for about 10 seconds and I'm off.
