keep the d-series. That thing has a lot of potential, no need to blow a bunch of cash swapping and building another motor!

trust me.. not worth it, that d-series will easily produce 12'sec time slips & maybe even 11's

My car has a stock d16z6 in it.. you think if i wanted to get roughly 300hp to the wheels, that the motor would be perfectly fine for that?

i was talking specificly about the motor in lances car (fathergoat) it's built with forged internals. Yours will fail without a bunch of work! lol

Oh i know that.. im just saying that in general the d16z6 is a good motor to build up.. if i were to build a motor.. or is it worth it to buy a better block?

if you get forged pistons and rods for the D16Z6 it's good for about 300 on 93 octane and about 400 on 110 octane or E85. there are also a lot of people running vitara pistons with forged rods and getting just as much. search for fjt distributors, they sell a budget bottom end kit for the d-series.
