Thanks Oc_Civic.

Westcoaststyle: The only insignifigance involved here is your lack of interest in this idea.

Maybee you like to ride with amber light signals which is the law but, alot of people don't cause they like the style with the clear signal lights to match the headlights. The only alternative to this is if you include an extra light somewhere on the car or within the headlight which would flash amber or this idea.

It's all about interests.

Whoh tiger.. no need to get all pissy.

I run with PIAA hyper whites in my corners and used to have completely blue until I grew up.

This board is here because of people's interests and ideas. I'm not dissing your idea, just think that you're looking to spend a lot for something as miniscule as a light. To each his own and I wish you the best of luck with your search for amber/clear LEDs.

If the APC LED which flashes red is regularly clear then whats not to say that you can have the center part flash amber and the outer flash clear. I dont even use the signal lights, i only have them on to shine clear at night to match the headlights.

My only other route is to connect a small amber bulb in the box of the headlight that can be shown when flashed this way I can stay clear from all legalities.

Honestly I'm not into the orange with white look. I can dissconect the "always on" portion of the signal light wire but, it would then look as thoguh part of the light is burnt out. It's all about preferance.
the reason apc's are like this is cuz they are LED, not regular bulbs, with leds they can all be clear but come out red/blue/purple/ etc
the only thing i can think of is from a new vw or audi and to use their sidemarker and somehow retrofit it into the housing....those are clear and flash amber, but then you'll lose your dual filametn feature

But he wants one filiment of the light to shine clear/white and the second filiment to blink amber.

My wife has a '02 beetle and the side markers have 6 amber LEDs in them, but they are just single filiment.

I don't know if I've even seen a white LED made for a car...

Like you said to each his own but, as I said instead of me including another bulb of somesort somewhere on the car or in the headlight housing I would think that this idea would be cleaner in looks and hastle free.

Oc_Civic is our only hope with this idea since he did mention an article in a magazine that he saw.

Just wondering does the phillips shine white regulary or just amber? The Civic needs a light that shines regularly to match the headlight color and when turning needs the amber.

Yea my origional question was if there was a bulb that would constantly shine white and blink amber. Oc_Civic mentioned an ad in a magazine saying they may make it for imports. He's the only guy that can provide us proof if it exists.
