Passenger side CV axle - I can move the part that goes into the transmission in and out about 1mm. I can't actually pull it out but it does move this 1mm.

Reason I ask is b/c we got the clutch done about 1 month ago, noticed a clunk while backing up from that side. Also, can't move the driver's side like the passenger side - wondering if they did not reseat the axle correctly after completing the clutch replacement.

should not move. Sounds to me like they didn't seat it, or they lost/broke the retainer clip on the end and just shoved it back in the hole. Either way it is not correct.
