Default Help: broken wheel stud!!!!!!!!

Its the front driver side too, so rite now it i only have 3 lug nuts on it and i'm worry about it. Is there anyway i can fix it or get the whole thing? If so how much would they go for and if i can fix it how? If anyone total his/her car and have one please let me know. By the way my car is a 2000 civic ex coupe. Thanx...damn still 7 more yrs. or bad luck i guess.....lol

one of my lugs is busted also but for hondas i guess its not that easy. an independent shop said that it couldnt be knocked out and that they'd have to take out the whole hub. . . . 40+ bucks.

well it actaully can be knocked out but it can't be knocked in without taking the whole hub off.
my friend slipped with the hammer once and he messed up the studs on my rear wheel so we took off the hub and hammered the studs out and then hammered the studs back in so now its all good.

humm.. getting it back in is not that hard. u don't need to remove the hub. the ghetto style we did was turn the hub to a point where you can get the most leverage to pound part of it in. before putting the stud back in... i suggest some wd40.

once the stud is there and it doesn't move around.. then put ur brake rotor back on and the wheel back on. and then slowly tighten the nut onto the stud. don't do it too fast or hard... don't wanna strip the screw. take ur time on this.. if you have an impact wrench... it'll be easy. then after u screw it on... take the nut off... and the wheel... and the brake rotor... then stick ur head behind the hub.. and VOILA... it's in. then after that.. u might have to bleed ur brake a bit just to be able to push the piston into the caliper... but sometimes, it'll fit back on without bleeding. so... if you have more questions... feel free to ask.

P.S. make sure your car is safely jacked up and resting on jack stands. i usually leave the jack there along with the jack stand.... just to be safe.
