(rotary.... go rotary....) J/K!

Good choice in going for a B swap, though. D's are sooo 10 years ago, even though I like screwing around with my civic's 12v D15A3 If you blow a D-series, however, they are much cheaper then a B... everyone and their grandmother wants to buy a B series now. Thanks a lot, F&F!

Well, if you geta first generation B16A longblock you will have ten HP less, you will need a different distributor, ECU, and a mount kit. You could use a first gen shortblock and a SIRII head though. But you would still need the mount kit which would negate the price difference anyway so just get the SIRII.

To clarify: First Generation B16 produces 160 hp. Second Generation SiRII produces 170 hp.

he is under the assumption you will be using the cable tranny which comes with the first gen b16... if you use that you'll need a mount kit. to my knowledge the driver side engine mount is the same. not positive.

the side tranny mount on the b16 cable tranny is different.

if you mount a b16 into a 4th gen you'll need to get a kit.

5th gen is primarily bolt in, if you use a hydro tranny.

cable tranny will require the mount kit.
