SOHC or DOHC vtec?

A friend of mine has a del sol he wants to sell, but he doesnt know what kind of del sol it is (read subject). How can he easily tell? His valve cover has the VTEC engraved into it. He doesnt know what a vtec solenoid is or where to find it. How else can he tell easily?? Thanks.

if it looks mostly like like this

then its a sohc

The dohc looks like this

I bought a Del Sol and didn't know what it was either, didn't know jack about em just drove it and liked it. Ended up being a VTEC though
